Qualicum & District Curling Club is busy from early morning until late at night.

We have approximately 400 members and over a dozen leagues. Each draw generally represents eight teams on the ice which means excellent annual exposure for your advertising sign over the curling season. In addition we regularly hold annual bonspiels and events that draw from outlying areas which increases your exposure.

Your exposure in the curling rink works almost like subliminal advertising to curlers resting on brooms, gazing at scoreboards or waiting for their turn to deliver a rock. As well, curlers have been known to socialize in the lounge after their game and watch other games taking place. Many, many pairs of eyes will be looking at your sign!

Here is how our advertising program works – you can become an advertiser by following these easy steps:

1. Request and sign our rental agreement for a wall sign (one year term at $150, four year term at $500) and fax it back to us.

2. Have a sign maker make a 3 ft wide, 2 ft high sign of your design, at your cost (approximately $125-$150).
3. Drop your sign off at the rink (or we can pick up). It will be placed in a prime spot.

4. Send your cheque (we will issue an invoice).

You’re done, and can begin to reap the benefits!

ADVERTISING SPACE RENTALS

Qualicum and District Curling Club offers a number of advertising options. Currently, we offer wall space and scoreboard advertising as well as in-ice and bumper space .

Options being considered for the future include messages on rock handles, and website ads.

Please contact us for information regarding any of the offered options and we would be happy to have a volunteer contact you with an information package.

IN ICE ADVERTISING In ice advertising is usually in the form of logos and must be installed when the ice is being put in at the beginning of the curling season; usually the beginning of September, and is taken out with ice at end of curling season in March.

1 ½ ft.. x 6 ft. @ $500.00 per year - installed behind the out-of-bounds line and near the sides of each sheet. Club approval of the design must be obtained.

WALL & SCOREBOARD ADVERTISING

 

Wall Space: 2 ft x 3 ft. wall sign space at $150. per year, or $500. for 4 years, + GST

Scoreboards: 3 ft. x 10 ft. Scoreboaard Signs

@ $250. per year, or $1,000. for 4 years, plus GST
